Force Sensing Bolts & Studs
Load Bolts and Studs General Product Information
Load bolts and studs provide a means for accurate, independent inspection of an assembled bolt for preload, thereby enhancing the structural integrity and reliability of both the bolt and the assembly.
Hex Head Steel Cap Screws, SXS Series
Strainsert fasteners utilize an exclusive internal gaging method (U.S. Patent #2,873,341) to indicate bolt tension due to preload with strain gage accuracy. Fasteners provide a means for accurate, independent inspection.
12 Point Cap Screws, SDH Series
These 12 Point Load Bolts are available from ¼” diameter up to 1 ½” diameter in many different length configurations. They are 170 KSI high strength alloy steel and can be used in counter bore applications, in place of 12-point, or many socket head bolts, or used where a small bolt flange diameter is desired.
Hex Head Aluminum Cap Screws, SXA Series
The SXA Series Hex Head Cap Screw Load Bolts are available from ¼” diameter up to ¾” diameter in many different length configurations and are intended to provide a higher output signal for low force measurement applications. They are aluminum alloy material, (55 KSI) and can be used in applications where a hex head bolt and lower clamping forces are required.
Internally Gaged Studs (Steel Alloy), ST Series
These Force Sensing Studs are available from ¼” diameter up to 1″ diameter in many different length configurations. They are 125 KSI steel and can be used in many different types of force measurement applications where studs are used. They can also be used as a simple load or force tension link.
