Strainsert has been designing and manufacturing precision Load Cells for fifty five years. A load cell is a sensor used to create an electrical signal whose magnitude is directly proportional to the force being measured.
Strainsert specializes in designing and manufacturing strain gage load cells. The strain gages are the devices installed and sealed within the load cell that measure the electrical resistance changes in response to the strain (or pressure or force) applied to the device.
Strainsert load cells are instrumented with the same proprietary unique strain gaging technique perfected by Strainsert and used so successfully in Strainsert Bolts, Load Pins and Tension Links for many research, testing and control applications.
The load cells offer precision force measurement by integrating into the load/force path and are commonly used in Aerospace, Automotive, Military, Marine and many other industries.
Features
The structure of Strainsert load cells are simple and compact, consisting of an inner loading hub and an outer supporting flange bridged smoothly by a uniformly continuous solid shear web avoiding structural stress risers. Strainsert gages are installed and sealed inside small gage holes along the neutral axis of the web. Linearity and symmetry of output signal in tension and compression are obtained by equal straining of all shear gages in the bridge circuit of the load cell. Low deflection and high natural frequency of the available load cell are obtained, along with high resistance to extraneous forces. Mechanical and dynamic properties of load cells are fully tabulated.
Load indicators, signal conditioners and complete force measurement systems are also available and offer many different features in conjunction with load cells. Strainsert indicators display tension forces or other engineering units. The load indicators display numbers so the engineer or personnel monitoring the application can determine if the force is appropriate.
